Types of Information We Collect from Customers In the course of providing or attempting to provide services to you, Broadview Security may collect certain personal information about you.  Personal information is information that identifies you individually (“Personal Information”), including your name, service address, billing address, telephone numbers, electronic mail address, billing information including your bank account or credit card number, social security number, credit score, correspondence and communications records, and the specific products and services you have purchased from Broadview Security. Broadview Security may also collect information regarding our customers that is not individually identifiable (“Non-Personal Information”), such as the percentage of customers that purchase a particular service, the aggregate number of alarm signals received, average customer tenure, customer demographics, and the like.

Broadview Security uses your Personal Information to provide you with information about your account, to provide you the services you have requested, to improve the services Broadview Security provides its customers, and to inform you of additional products and services that we think may be of interest to you.  Broadview Security also uses this information and Non-Personal Information in other ways related to our services, including sales, installations, product development, operations, administration, marketing, communications with you, billing and collections.  We do not share Personal Information with third parties except that we may store and disclose Personal Information as allowed or required by applicable law, including, without limitation, making disclosures (i) that are necessary or advisable to protect the rights, safety and property of Broadview Security or others, (ii) that are necessary or advisable to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, (iii) to third parties in connection with the performance of services; (iv) to credit bureaus in connection with determining credit scores; and (v) as requested by law enforcement or other emergency agencies.  Broadview Security does not sell or lease Personal Information to anyone not affiliated with Broadview Security. Broadview Security may use Non-Personal Information for various purposes, including but not limited to product development, customer service, marketing and similar purposes. Broadview Security may share Non-Personal Information with third parties.

Types of Information We Collect From the Broadview Security Websites Broadview Security does not collect Personal Information about you on the Broadview Security Websites unless you choose to provide that information to us or you choose a service on the Broadview Security Websites that requires you to submit personal information in order to receive the selected service. Personal Information gathered on Broadview Security Websites may include, but is not limited to, your name, title, company, address, electronic mail address, phone number and the like. Unless specifically stated, we do not require Personal Information to obtain access to any part of the Broadview Security Websites. Some areas of the Broadview Security Websites are not accessible unless you supply certain personal information. For example, in order to access your account via mybroadview.com, you must enter your “user name” and “password”. *If you have forgotten your user name or password, or you would like to change your password, you may visit https://www.mybroadview.com/home/forgotpassword.aspx. Broadview Security has security policies and procedures in place to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or alteration.  When you are logged in to mybroadview.com, your personal information is protected by current technology that uses a secure socket layer (SSL) protocol with a required 128-bit encryption key. SSL is an encoding algorithm that encrypts information passed between your computer and Broadview Security in an effort to prevent unauthorized access of your personal information. In addition, our personnel who have access to your data have been trained to maintain the confidentiality of your personal information.

If you have a user name and password for access to the non-public areas of the Broadview Security Websites, you are solely responsible for all activities that occur in connection with your user name and/or password. Broadview Security recommends that you take steps to protect the confidentiality of your user name and password. If you become aware of any disclosure, loss, theft or unauthorized use of your user name and/or password, please notify Broadview Security immediately.
