Misty V. On April 2, 2008 at 4:22 p.m., Misty received a police panic alarm from the home of Allie S. She immediately called the home and got the answering machine, so she notified the police right away. The customer called later in the evening to thank Broadview Security for the excellent service. She advised us that her daughter was home alone when an unknown man rang the front door bell. He watched her through the windows and eventually made his way into the garage. She was scared and unable to reach her mother, so she pushed the police emergency button on the Broadview Security keypad. Broadview quickly notified the police and they responded. The girl was safe, but the alarm scared away the intruder and police were unable to find him.

She immediately called the home and was forwarded to the customer, who was not at home. The customer was concerned because her daughter was at home and not feeling well. Cindy told her that anyone in the home should leave the home, so the customer contacted her daughter and told her to get out of the house. She later called to let us know her home had dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and Broadview Security saved her daughter’s life. Her daughter was admitted to the hospital for oxygen therapy, and is now doing fine. Tameka J., Shelanda C. and Jacob R. On November 15, 2007 at 11:20 p.m., Tameka received supervisory trouble and window intrusion alarms from the home of Paul and Jocelyn R. She immediately called the home and spoke to the customer. The customer didn’t know why the alarm was going off, so Tameka connected her with Customer Care for help in troubleshooting the system. As Shelanda walked her through troubleshooting the system, the customer noticed smoke in the home. Shelanda sent a request to Monitoring to notify the fire department. Jacob responded to the request and told the fire department dispatch operator there was smoke in the home. The customer later called to tell us her home had caught on fire. They didn’t have monitored Broadview Security fire equipment installed in the home, but the fire must have burnt through the Broadview burglary alarm system wiring, causing the window alarms to sound and the keypad to send a trouble signal. Although there was extensive water and smoke damage to the home, the customer was thankful the Broadview Security system saved her and her daughter.

He found her in the bedroom, broke down the door and took her hostage at gunpoint as the police arrived outside her home. After a stand-off with police, the ex-boyfriend eventually released her. She called to thank Broadview Security and said the emergency button saved her life.
