IRVING, Texas (April 14, 2005) – Brink’s Home Security, Inc announced today that Knoxville, Tennessee, has been selected as the location for its new alarm monitoring and customer care facility. The expansive, 50,000 square foot Brink’s Home Security Knoxville, TN facility will be constructed on a 9.6 acre parcel of land in the Pellissippi Corporate Center on Hardin Valley Road.
This new state-of-the-art Knoxville home security facility will complement Brink’s Home Security’s existing National Support Center in Irving, Texas, providing additional customer call volume capacity and enhancing disaster recovery capabilities for Brink’s customers across the United Stated and Canada.
When fully staffed, the Knoxville security center will accommodate more than 400 Brink’s alarm monitoring operators and customer care specialists that are dedicated to providing rapid response to alarm signals and inquiries received from Brink’s Home Security customers throughout the United States and western Canada. The facility will maintain operations 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company plans to spend in excess of $10 million to construct the Knoxville home security center and install state-of-the-art security computer and telecommunications equipment.
